Masliansky, Tzevi Hirsch

(1856-1943)
   Polish-American preacher. He was born in Slutsk, Belorussia, and taught at the Polish Talmud Torah and at the yeshivah of Pinsk. Active in Hibbat Zion, he left the country in 1894, and undertook a lecture tour of central and Western Europe. In 1895 he settled in New York where he helped to popularize Zionism through Friday evening sermons at the Educational Alliance on East Broadway.
